Everyman Cinema: Django

On Saturday night, my boyfriend and I went to see the Tarantino film 'Django Unchained' (It was incredible, just incredible) We would usually just pop down to the local cinema, but we decided to make and evening of it and go somewhere a little different.

There are 5 Everyman cinemas in London and a few on the outskirts, and if you haven't had the pleasure of viewing a film there, then I suggest you do. Firstly our tickets cost £28 for the two of us, which isn't much more than a regular Odeon. When we arrived there was a real buzz in the foyer, a similar buzz to that of a theatre or showing of live music. We were immediately offered tasters of honey glazed popcorn and an assortment of flavoured yogurt, we of course accepted and enjoyed both. When reaching the till point we simply showed the lady a code on my phone that had been sent on booking earlier in the day and that was that.

The Belsize Park cinema has one large screening, the seats are more like huge comfy, leather armchairs or in our case a luxurious sofa (no annoying arm rest in between our seats.) A set of cushions are placed on your seats, should you require them and of course a reclining button.... should you need to be even more comfortable. Seriously at this stage your wondering if your life could get any better and then your presented with a menu and you realise 'yes it can.'

Cheesecake
mojitos
Latte's
fro- yo
Humus and bread
Retro Candy

After realising it was a 3 hour long film, I opted for a Latte (with Soya milk) we were at a 9.50 showing and I figured I could use the caffeine.

The friendly waiters are available prior to and during the film should you get peckish, however once the lights went off and the film started I didn't notice anyone ordering anything, which is nice as I think it could have been slightly distracting mid film.

All in all I had an amazing time at the Everyman cinema, Belsize Park, and I would highly recommend it for a great evening out.
